About Me...

Hi, my name's David Leese, and I work for Dell.  My job title is Global Online Optimisation Manager, which involves A/B testing, targeting, personalisation, test ideation and planning.  I started at Dell in September 2011 as a strategic testing manager, when my role focused more on test design and execution - developing and executing plans.  Prior to this I was a website analyst for a UK financial services company.  My role as an analyst meant tracking and analysing website traffic, and along with testing, my favourite brain exercises are maths, physics, chemistry, logic puzzles and all that stuff, and Chess (not necessarily in that order).

As a website analyst, I have a range of experience, covering Omniture Site Catalyst (since 2007), Discover (since October 2010) and Test and Target (since Q1 2011); Google Analytics (since 2007) and Website Optimiser (starting 2010); Site Intelligence (from 2006-7), and Webtrends (Q1-Q3 of 2011).

I've spoken at various web analytics conferences, including eTail Europe (2012), Digital Analytics Hub, previously xChange (2013 and 2014) and in October 2014, eMetrics London.

I play the piano and love listening to music, and my favourites are Michael W Smith, Newsboys, Petra and Matt Maher (Alive Again is a favourite).

I'm also a Christian, and I play piano in the worship group at the church I attend, which is Breathe New Life, in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.

I have a Facebook page, and I'm here www.facebook.com/david.leese.uk
